Redenção Sangrenta (The Breaking Point, 1950) é o destaque de agosto da Criterion Collection.
O filme dirigido por Michael Curtiz (Casablanca) já saiu por aqui no quarto volume da coleção Film Noir da Versátil. É uma adaptação do livro To Have and Have Not, de Ernest Hemingway, que já havia sido adaptado anteriormente por Howard Hanks em Uma aventura na Martinica.
Meantime (1984), filme inglês feito pra TV , foi dirigido por Mike Leigh (Segredos e Mentiras) e conta com jovens Gary Oldman e Tim Roth. Não há registro de já ter saído em home vídeo no Brasil.
Gary Oldman também está em Sid e Nancy, do diretor inglês Alex Cox (Repo Man – A Onda Punk). O filme, baseado na relação do baixista da banda punk Sex Pistols, Sid Vicious, com a groupie Nancy Spungen já saiu por aqui em DVD pela Flashstar.
Já O Espião Trapalhão (Hopscotch, 1980), dirigido por Ronald Neame (O Homem Que Nunca Existiu) com Walter Matthau e La poison (1951) do diretor francês Sacha Guitry nunca saíram em DVD por estas bandas. Só em Blu-ray. Ha-há. Até parece.
